Flag Ministry

Worshipers all over the globe are lifting banners, and waving flags to bring attention to their amazing God. At Healing Waters Church we are part of God’s celebrating army who boldly declare our love for the King and celebrate His victory over the kingdom of darkness.

“May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners!

Why Use Flags?

Flags are effective tools used for communication, especially with large groups. In the Bible flags were designed to identify a people, and a nation. They were used to bring the attention of a group to an important focal point saying, “Pay Attention to this today!” Flags are mentioned in Psalms in connection with celebrating the salvation of the LORD. They can also be used to communicate short messages to take action in a battle. Just as in bible days, flags can serve God’s people today in similar ways. Worshipers now recognize the value in using flags as powerful displays of Kingdom truth when used properly with understanding.

What flags symbolize when waved

There is a saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”  The attention-getting wave of a flag speaks volumes! Colors, symbols and different types of waving have the ability to relay different messages in an instant. For example, a white fluttering flag can symbolize the hovering of the Holy Spirit. While a snapping red flag can be a bold declaration about the power of the blood of Christ.  Whatever the flag and its movement, an entire congregation can be spiritually unified with a single glance.
